Karamea Evita has Gainey bloodlines both sides of her pedigree.  She was 2001 New Zealand National Champion Mare. Evita won this award at the grand age of 18 years.  It was the only time she ever went to the National Show.  She has also been awarded her Roll of Merit in HalterEvita is a wonderful mare in every way and is the dam of halter and performance champions.  One of her sons, Karamea Bandito (Araleigh Kavanna), won the 100k lightweight division at 1999 NZ National Endurance Championships.  Two daughters, Karamea Mareekah (Araleigh Kavanna) and Karamea Fantasia ( El Kheir Galal), won many championships under saddle, when ridden by the Campbell sisters in the open ring.  As well Fantasia, was Reserve Champion Mare at Halter in a huge mare class at the 2002 Arabian Spectacular judged by Lewis McKim, Canada.   At the 2001 NZ National Championships she was Top 5 in the ridden classes, she never contested the halter classes.  Another daughter, Karamea Estara, (Kaptivation), was also Top 5 at the 2001 NZ National Championships, in the junior filly halter classes.  Last season, Karamea Estasha, also by Kaptivation, was 2006 NZ North Island Junior Champion.  In 2007, she was awarded NZ National Champion Junior Filly.  Two of Evita's daughters, Esmerelda and Estella, by Kaptivation remain in the stud.
